길모퉁이 칠리차차. Cornerside Chilli Cha Cha.

Chilly Cha Cha have somehow became more and more famous with their introductions by eatyourkimchi & cuteinkorea.

The first time i tried it, i had instantly became hooked on it.
I absolutely love the place, the food and the owner who blast hip hop music.

The few occasion that i goes on always land around 3-4-ish with hardly any customers.
I read reviews that said that sometimes they are so full, you have to take away.

Brown building with random flower and butterflies.
Small seatings designed to fit no more then 20 people at a time.

Self-service. :)

There is something interesting in Korea that i havent seen in anywhere else yet.
The toilet key.
Only in Korea, i realise that when you wants to use the toilet, you have to borrow the key, which i have indicated in the photo above with an arrow.
It is pretty funny because are not toilets for everyone and anyone who needs it ?
Why restrict the use of toilet with a key ? Hmmmm....

Translated to english. :)
Halal/ Vegetarian Alert ! Although I am not sure, but so far the pumpkin, basil cream, corn corokke and fried tofu skin udon seems to contain not meat. (I cant say the same for the rest as some places includes meat in their potato corokke and such).

Our Spread ~
Udon, the best companion to beat the cold.
Chilly Cha Cha's Udon is so simple yet satisfying.
The mild sweetness of the soup is awaken with every stir as chilli flakes are roused up.
Can be shared between 2 if want to eat more Corokke.

All the fried goodies.
The batter for the fried goodies are really awesome.
The squid tastes pretty meh but the prawns are really good.
Chilli cha cha have its own "sweet sauce" to dip into which gives it the extra oomph.

Wholesome loads of pumpkin.
For the pumpkin lovers, sweet and loaded.

Basil Cream Corokke, giving heart attack the right reason.
I crave for this, day and night.
This corokke which i have nicknamed "OUTTATHEWORLD corokke" is filled with cream, cheese and mixed grains like barley. The taste of basil is well measured, nothing too overbearing and combined together, they give it a nice chewy texture. How can anyone hate this ?

Instagram-ed !
