짜장면 @ 남대문. Jjangjamyun at Namdaemun.

So, apparently one of the things that tourists wants to try very much in Korea, is jjangjamyun because it appears in Korean drama A LOT.
So, all on a random date out with a friend from Singapore, she requested that we try jjangjamyun.
Being, a pretty sudden request, I was not able to bring her to a nice chinese restaurant and we were in Namdaemun. So it was pretty much we were searching high and lo for any shop that sells jjangjamyun.
After roaming around about 20mins, going through and out the alleys, we finally found one.

Signboard prominently advertised their jjangjamyung.

Ordered my favourite Odeng! (Fishcake) for 1,000won for 1.

Jjangjamyung at 3,000won and Tteokbokki at 3,000won.

Everything was pretty average. The jjangjamyung sauce taste pretty diluted. Bits of onion and meat in the sauce like the usual. Friend commented that it taste pretty instant noodle, or actually she find the instant one nicer because the instant one is more flavourful.
I tasted better Odeng elsewhere... this one is a little too peppery to my liking and the tteokbokki is pretty average. Taste ... just like tteokbokki.

On the good side: The jjangjamyun is pretty cheap though. A usual bowl usually cost 5,000won.
