Raining in Korea.

As October approaches, the rainy season starts creeping in as well. My craving for soupy stuff like broth starts coming in. When I was in Singapore, my comfort food for this weather always goes along .... milo.
When in Korea, do as the Korean do and on rainy days, eat as what they eat, which is Jeon & Makgeolli (전 & 막걸리) !
Splish Splash Pitter Patter. Or simply just click here to listen. This is the sound make by the rain. But this sound, can also be heard as the sound of a sizzling of a frying pan. Jeon, a pancake-style dish is a Korean's favourite when it rains. The sound of rain is immediately connected to the sizzling of the Jeon being fried.
Jeon not traditionally eaten as a main dish, often eaten as banchan (side dishes) or anju (drinking snack/food) so, traditionally Jeon goes well with Makgeolli ! Makgeolli is a Korean alcohol with rice/wheat content. Of course, nowadays there are new kinds with raspberry flavour and so much more. Makgeolli can be drank warm or cold and combined with Jeon, "kyyyyyyyaaaaaa".
Rain rain dont go away .... Makgeolli please come again ...
